The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League on Thursday re-signed former No. 5 overall pick Nick Carlson to a one-year contract, the team said.

Carlson, 26, a transition player, joined the Mammoth in 2004 after two seasons with the New York Saints. His 14 goals, 15 assists and 29 points last season were career highs. The 6-foot, 205-pound Carlson also scored two goals and added four assists in three playoff games to help the Mammoth win the NLL title last year.

Versus sports network, formerly known as OLN, said it will broadcast an NLL “game of the week” every Saturday during the season at 8 p.m., including four tape-delayed Mammoth games. Those games include a Dec. 30 game against Rochester, Jan. 13 against Buffalo, Feb. 24 against Portland and March 31 at Minnesota.
