STOCKBRIDGE, Ga.-
A small plane carrying four people crashed among houses near a Georgia airfield, killing three people and injuring the other, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m., Henry County sheriff’s Lt. Randy Moore said. He said officials were still gathering information and he did not yet know what caused the plane to go down.
Police official Carmen Hipp said the plane was either taking off or landing at nearby Berry Hill Airport. The burned wreckage lay near a residential street a few steps from a home’s driveway.
Stockbridge is about 20 miles southeast of Atlanta.
