The Broncos have told punter Todd Sauerbrun he will be cut today. The Broncos have decided to keep Paul Ernster as their punter and kickoff specialist.
Ernster performed well during the past four games when Sauerbrun was suspended by the NFL for using a banned supplement.
“It’s disappointing for Todd,” Sauerbrun’s agent David Canter said. “He thought he’d be punting for the Broncos in the Super Bowl.”
The official announcement is expected this afternoon.
