More than 150 leaders from Colorado business, government and other sectors are to fly to Miami today for the annual Leadership Exchange trip sponsored by the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation.
Miami was chosen to give Colorado leaders insights into how an international city handles immigration, diversity, tourism, culture and education, officials said. Miami leaders will speak to the Colorado delegation during meetings and tours over three days.
Making the trip are dozens of executives from Colorado’s financial sector, real estate, travel and tourism, manufacturing, health care, retail, law firms, the arts, education, social services, nonprofits and communications. The mayors of Denver, Centennial, Brighton, Arvada and Aurora also are attending.
This is the 17th annual Leadership Exchange trip and the first to Florida. Previous destinations included Dallas, Montreal, Seattle and Atlanta.
