Who: Harriet Diagle of Centennial and Tracy Fagan of Highlands Ranch

Where: Prague, at the Jindrisska Tower

Best meal: The Bellevue, a French restaurant on the Vltava River with views of the famous Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Go for the roast duck with port wine sauce. Also try Zvouice, fancy dining in the belfry of the Jindrisska Tower with lots of good Czech wine. Great Bohemian dishes of dumplings, sauerkraut, roast pork and pork knee found everywhere.

Best deal: Hotel Jalta, located on Wenceslas Square, a block from the National Museum and within walking distance of all tourist attractions. The cost was approximately $142 a night, which includes a full breakfast. The majority of the staff spoke

English, and the concierge was extremely helpful with tours and restaurants. Also, hand-

crafted Czech glass crystal (equal to Swarovski) and local arts and crafts, plus pashmina scarfs on every corner.

Best time to go: The weather is similar to Denver’s but very damp and cold in November. Long underwear was a must. September or October would be the perfect time to visit Prague.

Best travel tip: Take good walking shoes for the cobblestone streets and the Lonely Planet guidebook.
