Coyle returns to NLL’s Mammoth

The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League re-signed defenseman Pay Coyle to a one-year contract, the team said.

Coyle will play in his 11th NLL season. He won his fifth championship last season, when the Mammoth won its first title. Coyle, 37, a 6-foot, 220-pound native of Ontario, had previously won four titles with the Toronto Rock. Coyle’s 357 career penalty minutes rank second in NLL history.
