BROOMFIELD – The Broomfield City Council voted last week to nix a plan that would have cleared the way for the development of a Wal-Mart Supercenter at West 120th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard.
The city was considering financing a portion of the acquisition of the site, which currently houses Barber’s Poultry Inc. More than 30 residents spoke out against the plan during a council meeting.
