The challenge is integrating all of those high-tech gadgets into a home that’s both stylish and functional. “Guys are learning that design doesn’t have to be scary. They see how they can pull it all together,” says Stephen Saint-Onge, the home and style designer for Philips and a former host of the TLC home-makeover show “While You Were Out.” Saint-Onge encourages bachelors not to settle for odds-and-ends furnishings when their pads have the potential for easygoing sophistication.
