Why are you running? We need more strong advocates at the Capitol who are willing to take a leadership role necessary to see change. I am that community champion.

What are the top three challenges facing Colorado?

1) Affordable Healthcare.

2) Substance Abuse Funding/Criminal Justice Reform.

3) Assessment of public education and its current infrastructure and capacity.

What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? Streamlining inefficiencies/costs – saving the state dollars by investing in preventative health care and preventative-based systems. These cost savings, coupled with other solutions, could save the state a tremendous amount of money; the surplus could then be appropriated to unfunded mandates/initiatives.

What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? The exemption of casinos in the Clean Indoor Air policy that created smokefree workplaces. The exemption created unfair policy and failed to protect the health of our casino employees.

What proposal did you agree with the most? KEG ID bill – this bill created accountability standards for adults who supply alcohol to underage drinkers/minors in the case of injury/fatality. This bill also provided law enforcement with the tools necessary to actually enforce the law.
