Ten days remain before the polls close and the bean counters get to work determining who will be the next governor of Colorado. We’ve already heard where Democrat Bill Ritter and Republican Bob Beauprez fall on tough issues like illegal immigration, transportation finance, energy and water, education and health-care access.
What remains to be understood is how the former prosecutor and former congressman, both born and reared in rural Colorado, stack up on Western lifestyle matters.
As it turns out, the two men caught in a battle for the state’s top political office favor the same footwear, entertainment and after-campaign-appearance tipple. They’ll just have to agree to disagree on what makes for a great view, a great side dish or a great rodeo event.
