
John Phipps is a senior at Evergreen High School.
He is a member of the National Honor Society and a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association. John is also a Junior Volunteer at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge and has done volunteer work for the Hiwan Homestead Museum in Evergreen.
John has a 3.86 grade-point average and has taken honors and Advanced Placement courses. He scored a perfect 5 on his AP biology test, earning eight college credits, and received six credits after taking the AP European history exam.
John developed an interest in wrestling in the seventh grade. During his freshman year, he made the varsity wrestling team, where he lettered and won the “Rookie of the Year” award. He lettered again in wrestling the following two years. Last season, he won the Jefferson County League All-Conference Award.
