Why are you running? I’m term limited. I’m not ready to quit yet. With my knowledge of the budget and Colorado government, I can continue to better serve my constituents.
What are the top three issues facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?
1. Transportation: need dedicated funding for highways.
2. Water: If Colorado continues to grow, we will need more water storage.
3. Jobs: need to create better paying jobs.
What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? Introduce legislation to mitigate the water issues concerning the South Platte River.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? SB-06-64 – vendor performance of State contracts – expensive bill – would’ve added 25 more full-time employees to state government.
What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most? SB-06-28 – – a bill to provide a managed care pilot program for disabled persons on Medicaid. Should save the state millions of dollars.
