Why are you running? I was unsure about this position when appointed by the Mayor, but after several months of serving, I realized that I became very committed to the responsibility of delivering safe and efficient bus service to transit dependent customers and to FasTracks, which will enable our customers to have access anywhere in the city/country.
What are the top the challenges facing the state of Colorado or the institution you seek to represent? Making sure we keep our promise of on budget and on time even with rising costs.

What do you think your role will be in completing RTD’s $4.7 billion FasTracks transit expansion on time and within budget? In addition to overseeing the project to make sure it is on time and on budget, I want to ensure that everyone is included at all levels. Past projects of this size have been built on the backs of minorities, I would like there to be equal opportunities in design and architecture, legal and accounting. I want the project to reflect the diversity of our state. I want to make sure that communities continue to have a voice and partner with us to make this a world class project, having sustainability and be a product of best ideas and best practices.
What other goals do you have for RTD? I would like to see us manage our own parking facilities which will increase significantly in the coming years.
