Why are you running? To fulfill the promise of FasTracks, assist in shaping the growth and direction of the Metro Area, while providing premium transit service to our community.
What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent? Light rail commuter parking; completing FasTracks on time and budget; balancing RTD’s resources between day-to-day operations and capital investment.
What do you think your role will be in completing RTD’s $4.7 billion FasTracks transit expansion on time and within budget? Absolutely raising Cain over light rail parking. More parking resources are needed, not a little more, a lot more. My goal is to determine T-Rex ridership by 30 April 2007 then fix the number and location of parking spaces necessary to support the expanded light rail service.
RTD knows how to complete transit projects on time and budget. I expect and support doing it faster and better just like T-Rex and the Southwest line.
What other goals do you have for RTD? Imagine a faster, more enjoyable commute. Imagine people, tens of thousands of people, your co-workers, neighbors, and friends, even you, choosing to ride RTD because it makes sense. I want to be part of the solution that provides a transit system that you, your family and neighbors choose to ride.
