Why are you running? I am running because the everyday people of Eastern Colorado need a strong voice to represent their interests at the State House. I am that voice.
What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institute you seek to represent?
Keeping precious water in Eastern Colorado is a must.
Schools need to be fully funded; we can’t cut corners on our future.
Fixing a badly broken health care system is a must.
What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? Small schools like Brush, Burlington, Yuma, Wray and Ordway are struggling to meet costs, pay decent teachers’ salaries, and keep kid-friendly class sizes. School funding is a priority.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? I opposed a group of mean-spirited immigration proposals because exclusion and hate does not solve problems. Cooperation and clear thinking does.
What proposal in the last session did you agree with most? I was pleased to see the restoration of the homestead exemption for seniors.
