Why are you running? To ensure Colroadoans have the access to the great CU education that I received and that CU helps Colorado remain globally competitive.

What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?

1. Finding new sources of revenue for CU through efficiency in operations, increased partnerships, technology transfer and research opportunities.

2. Keeping tuition affordable while maintaining and expanding access to CU for as many Coloradans as possible.

3. Growing the University of Colorado system, especially the Fitzsimons campus, to meet the needs of Coloradoans and businesses in an increasingly complex global marketplace.

What would you do to improve diversity at CU campuses by drawing in underrepresented students? Work with K-12 and others to improve high school graduation rates; greater recruiting efforts in minority communities; more scholarships; retain current students of color,

University of Colorado President Hank Brown has given the university a C-plus for openness and accountability to the public. What would you do to improve CU’s image and restore public trust? Consistent leadership; dialogue with constituencies; input (strong diversity numbers); output (graduating students, releasing research findings, etc); and reasonable tuition increases; commitment to a culture of transparency; treat current students like gold – they are the future ambassadors for CU.
