If Broncos season-ticket holders want to unload their tickets, they won’t need to go through brokers or stand outside the stadium anymore.

The team created the Broncos TicketExchange program and has chosen Ticketmaster as its exclusive authorized secondary-market ticket provider. The program allows season-ticket holders to resell their tickets at face value.

“It is a service to allow our season-ticket holders a convenient way to sell their tickets,” said Kirk Dyer, Broncos executive director of ticket operations and administration. “It allows fans the only authorized place to buy and sell tickets.”

The team used the system last week. Season-ticket holders were informed by e-mail before the game against the Indianapolis Colts, and Dyer said response was favorable. The program can be reached at www.denverbroncos.com/ticketexchange. Also, through Ticketmaster, season-ticket holders will be able to forward their tickets to others using the service available with their online season account.

Many happy returns

Last week, his first as an active player in the NFL, Brian Clark asked Denver special-teams coach Ronnie Bradford for a videotape of great returns. Bradford gave the rookie a compilation of kick and punt returns for 40 or more yards and for touchdowns around the NFL in 2005.

“You need to visualize being great,” Clark said. “I wanted to see those plays. Being a great returner is more than just practicing. You have to see it.”

Clark was promoted from the practice squad last week and was the Broncos’ kick returner against the Colts. Clark, who had returns of 27 and 23 yards, replaced Quincy Morgan. Denver coach Mike Shanahan said Morgan still is in Denver’s plans. Clark was signed as a receiver and has shown great progress in practice.

Bell a nominee

Denver running back Mike Bell is one of five finalists for the NFL rookie of the week award. Bell rushed for 136 yards – 135 in the second half – Sunday against the Colts.

Bell scored on two 1-yard runs. Bell’s playing time likely will increase at least for this week at Pittsburgh because Tatum Bell is battling two turf toe injuries.

Feeling blue

The Broncos are 2-0 when wearing their blue uniform pants at home. Denver won night games against Baltimore and Oakland with the uniforms. Team captains and key veterans make the decision on uniforms.

“I love the way the blue pants look,” linebacker Al Wilson said. “But you’ll only see them on special occasions.”

Steelers injury update

Pittsburgh starting center Jeff Hartings will not play against the Broncos because of a knee injury. Safety Mike Logan (hamstring) also is out. Standout defensive tackle Casey Hampton (hamstring) is questionable, and linebacker Clark Haggans (ankle), a Colorado State product, also is questionable

Footnotes

The Broncos worked out three offensive linemen Tuesday: Tyson Walter, who was cut by Washington last week; Jacob Rogers, a second-round pick by Dallas in 2004; and Dave Yovanovits….The forecast Sunday for Pittsburgh is a high of 45 degrees with a slight chance of rain….According to an NFL players’ poll in Sports Illustrated, Shanahan is the top offensive mind in the NFL. Shanahan received 23 percent of the votes based on a poll of 361 players.
