Reese Witherspoon reportedly found an e-mail from Australian actress Abbie Cornish on husband Ryan Phillippe’s BlackBerry, leading to the couple’s split, according to the National Enquirer. A source told the tabloid, “Ryan was caught red-handed.” Phillippe, 32, and Cornish, 24, recently finished shooting the movie “Stop Loss” in Texas. Meanwhile, tmz.com reports the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement. Under California law, without a prenup, earnings during a marriage are divided 50/50.
Elizabeth Hurley and her millionaire boyfriend, Arun Nayar, finally announced they plan to wed March 3 in a traditional ceremony in England, Hello! magazine’s website reported. The ceremony will be held at Barnsley House Hotel, close to the 41-year-old actress’ country estate near Cirencester.
Ivana Trump was either a) drunk or b) disoriented after taking some NyQuil before attending the Carousel Ball last weekend in Beverly Hills. One spy told the New York Post that Trump, 57, attended the event with her agent and longtime pal, William Morris chairman Norman Brokaw and his daughter after reportedly having a fight the day before with boyfriend Rossano Rubicondi. The spy said Trump “had Norman hold one arm and had his daughter hold her other arm because she was wobbling so much. … Finally, someone heard Norman say, ‘You can’t stay here like this, you must go home.”‘ Trump rep Catherine Saxton said, “Ivana just had a bit of a flu bug. … On that night, she took some NyQuil before heading to the ball.”
Brad Pitt’s reps are furious the actor appears in nothing but a pair of boxer shorts and a pair of socks on the December cover of Vanity Fair magazine. TMZ.com reported Pitt signed a legal release when the photo was taken, but did not know it would end up on the cover. “We are very disappointed that Vanity Fair has chosen to put an unauthorized cover on their magazine,” a Pitt spokesperson said. A Vanity Fair rep said Pitt’s managers had been notified on Oct. 5 of the decision to use the photo.
Jenna Jameson apparently is too hot for the U.S. Marines. The porn star’s boyfriend, ultimate fighter Tito Ortiz, was scheduled to speak at a “birthday ball” at Miramar, the Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego, on Nov. 12. According to the New York Post, after finding out Jameson would attend, Maj. Jason Johnston e-mailed Ortiz, stating, “There is some serious consternation here about having your girlfriend attend our ball. Of course I, and a lot of Marines, are very excited about it, (but) many of our commanders feel it might be inappropriate for the type of event we are having … it is professionally embarrassing for me to have to possibly retract our invitation, especially when I am such a big fan.”
Jason Bateman’s wife, Amanda Anka, gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter Francesca Nora Bateman, on Saturday. Anka is the daughter of singer Paul Anka.
Prince William likely blew his chance to win the coveted Sword of Honor, awarded to the outstanding student of each course at the Sandhurst Military Academy, after losing his machine gun during exercises in Wales this week. A Sandhurst official confirmed William signed out an LSW weapon and another cadet handed it back in a couple of hours later. Still, misplacing a weapon is a serious offense, the officer told Hello! magazine’s website.
