A former substitute teacher and firefighter poured alcohol into the navels of teenage girls and sucked it out, and one girl jumped from the man’s second-story balcony to flee him, according to police records.
David Wayne Mundy Jr., 31, a former substitute teacher at Brighton Charter High School, is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 11 for unlawful sexual contact and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Meanwhile, former Brighton Charter teacher Carrie McCandless has a court hearing scheduled for Dec. 5 in Larimer County on counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
David Mundy Sr., chairman of the school board, has been charged with tampering with a witness or victim and failure to report child abuse or neglect in connection with McCandless’ case. Mundy Sr. is Mundy Jr.’s father.
School attorney William Bethke and the younger Mundy could not be reached for comment.
