Bichnhi Lana Nguyen is a senior at Arvada Senior High School. She has a 4.0 grade-point average and is ranked No. 1 in her class of 354.
Bichnhi has an executive internship at Exempla Lutheran Hospital, where she works about nine hours a week.
She has received five Arvada Achievement Awards for high performance in her classes. She also received the editor’s choice award in 2005 for outstanding achievement in poetry.
Advanced Placement classes that Bichnhi has taken include English, biology and calculus.
Bichnhi is a member of the French Honor Society and is an executive committee member of Arvada Senior High’s National Honor Society. She is a Link Leader and a member of the Key Club.
Bichnhi sings in the Choraliers choral group at Arvada Senior High. She has played tennis since ninth grade.
She was the 2006 junior escort for the senior graduation.
Bichnhi plans on attending the University of Denver to study biology and enroll in the pre-medicine program. She wants to become a pediatrician.
