AURORA – The chancellor of the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center scored a mention Monday in a list of the highest-paid university leaders.
Roy Wilson’s potential compensation package of $697,500 for 2006-07 put him eighth among public universities in The Chronicle of Higher Education survey.
CU spokeswoman Sarah Ellis said Wilson’s salary is $425,000 per year. He receives $75,000 in lieu of housing, car and other allowances, Ellis said.
Wilson is eligible for incentive pay up to $175,000 per year, which is not guaranteed. The $697,500 figure also includes retirement benefits, Ellis said.
She said Wilson’s compensation was among the highest because he oversees two campuses.
