Ashley Nu’u moved to third on the Colorado all-time career assist list, but Iowa State defeated the visiting Buffaloes 3-2 in the Big 12 Conference season finale.

Nu’u recorded 65 assists against the Cyclones, increasing her career total to 4,226 to surpass Jennifer Shurlock at 4,196. Iowa State (20-10, 12-8 Big 12) won 30-27, 24-30, 30-28, 29-31, 15-9 over Colorado (16-11, 12-8), and the teams ended the Big 12 campaign tied for fourth place.

The teams will await an announcement from the NCAA about possible postseason bids when the NCAA Tournament bracket is announced today on ESPNEWS at 1 p.m. The Buffs have qualified for the 64-team tournament 15 of the past 21 seasons.

NBADL’s 14ers win second straight on road

Von Wafer scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League to a 122-113 victory over the host Idaho Stampede in Boise, Idaho.

Elton Brown added 20 points and 14 rebounds for Colorado (2-0). David Jackson paced Idaho (0-2) with 26 points and eight assists.

CHL’s Rage get best of visiting Eagles

The Rocky Mountain Rage of the Central Hockey League got goals from six different players, led by Dorian Anneck’s two goals in a 7-2 victory over the visiting Colorado Eagles at the Broomfield Event Center.

Rocky Mountain (4-8-2) won its second game against Colorado (11-3-0). The Eagles remain atop the Northwest Division.
