Jack Arrowsmith, who was elected clerk and recorder, will chair the panel, joined by former Douglas County Sheriff Michael Acree, who will represent the county Republican Party, and Dan Kopelman, campaign manager for Secretary of State-elect Mike Coffman.
The panel also includes Bob Owens, representing the Douglas County Democratic Party; Ronald Coffee, private information technology expert; Douglas County administrator Doug DeBord; election judges Manfred Krimmer and Charles Wilson; and appointees from commission districts Peter Locke, Yaron Starosta and William Frey.
The group’s first of nine scheduled meetings will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Douglas County Commission hearing room on the first floor of the Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third St. in Castle Rock.
The panel will take public comments at 6:30 p.m.
The panel will issue a report next spring on the performance of voting machines, vote centers and elections staff, as well as examine election-judge training and other factors that may have contributed to long lines.
