KUSA-Channel 9 continues its dominance in local television news, according to the November Nielsen ratings, which end Thursday.
KUSA drew a 10.9 rating for its 10 p.m. news Mondays through Sundays, down slightly from a year ago, while KMGH-Channel 7 showed an increase to 5.6 from 5.3. KCNC-Channel 4 remained second with 7.4 rating.
“The Oprah Winfrey Show” won the 4 o’clock hour for Channel 4 but only by a thin margin, 5.7 to 5.5, over Channel 9’s news. The switch to Channel 4 by “Oprah” hit Channel 7, her former home, particularly hard, cutting its ratings by 66 percent for the hour.
