Score one for peace and comity. We applaud the homeowners association near Pagosa Springs for coming to its senses and abandoning its order that a couple remove their peace-sign wreath.
Lisa Jensen and Bill Trimarco, threatened with a $25-a-day fine, were happy to hear that the Loma Linda Homeowners Association was backing down following a national outcry and an avalanche of offers to pay the fine. Whatever convinced the association, we say hallelujah. Given the violence around the world, we favor peace over penalties by a long shot.
