University of Colorado kicker Mason Crosby and defensive lineman Abraham Wright were named to the All-Big 12 Conference football first team in a vote by sportswriters, the Associated Press reported.

Offensive lineman Brian Daniels, linebacker Jordon Dizon and defensive back Terrence Wheatley were named to the second team.

Also, Texas’ Kasey Studdard, a graduate of Highlands Ranch High School, was named to the first team. Nebraska’s Matt Slauson, Air Academy High School, and Oklahoma’s Zach Latimer, Gateway High School, were named to the second team.

Lacrosse events coming to Commerce City

The Dick’s Sporting Goods Park scheduled to open in April in Commerce City will host three lacrosse tournaments in 2007, Kroenke Sports Enterprises announced.

First, the women’s Intercollegiate Associates National Championship, from May 9-12, which crowns the national champion among the top collegiate club teams. The National Senior Showcase is slated for June 22-23.
