Lindsay Lohan has a new friend, and the initials are AA. The New York Post reports the hard-partying actress has been sporting an Alcoholics Anonymous pin. And a Los Angeles spy told the Post Lohan was seen Wednesday morning at an AA meeting near her apartment. A Lohan friend also confirmed the news. “She has attended several meetings and has hopefully decided to turn her life around.” Lohan skipped Thanksgiving with her family because she knew “someone would force an intervention on her,” a source said.

Britney Spears will not be co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, Teenhollywood.com reports. Several reports claimed Spears and her new pal Paris Hilton would co-host the show. Fox network officials would not confirm either would be hosting the special that airs at 7 p.m. Monday on KDVR-Channel 31.

Prince Charles, an amateur painter, has been invited to create the label for Chateau Mouton Rothschild – one of France’s most famous wines. According to the Daily Mail, Charles was approached by vineyard owner Baroness Philippine de Rothschild for one of his paintings. Since 1945, the wine has featured original artwork by well-known contemporary artists. As compensation, Charles will receive a bottle of the $295 wine.

Sean Connery reportedly turned down the “largest paycheck in cinema history” when he declined the offer to play Gandalf the Grey in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. The Scotsman newspaper reports Connery could have made up to $434 million for the role. “I never understood it. I read the book, I read the script, I saw the movie, and I still don’t understand it,” Connery was quoted by the Scotsman. Ian McKellen ended up getting the part, if not the grand payday.
