Three people were taken to a hospital in Aurora after an accident in snowy weather in which two semi-tractor trailers collided on Interstate-70 near Watkins, Colorado State Patrol officers say.
According to a dispatcher one of the tractor-trailers was headed in the wrong direction in the westbound lane of I-70 at 8:16 a.m. today when the two trucks smashed head on into each other.
The westbound lane was closed from Watkins to Manila Road, CSP spokesman Gilbert Mares said.
Mares said the three injured persons are not believed to have life-threatening injuries.
