A former Broncos football player arrested for drug possession allegedly agreed to pay a woman $600 for sex, police said.

Tyrone Braxton was arrested Saturday in 14000 block of East Princeton Place for possession of cocaine and marijuana, said Sgt. Rudy Herrera, an Aurora police spokesman.

Two others, Grant Lindberg, 29, and Audrey Linda Rose Evans, 21, were issued misdemeanor summons for furthering prostitution.

Lindberg arranged for Braxton to have sex with Evans at his home on Princeton Place for $600, Herrera said.

“He had set up sexual activity between Braxton and this woman for money,” Herrera said. “Beyond that they were engaging in the use of cocaine.”

The money never actually changed hands, Herrera said, so Evans and Lindberg were given only the misdemeanor summons.

Aurora police were called to the Princeton Place address Saturday at about 6:15 p.m. by Lindberg’s housemate, Herrera said. The housemate disapproved of what was going on at the residence and called police.

When police arrived, Braxton tried to drive away from the gated community but was stopped by police, who spotted a plastic bag with a white powder in it in the car, Herrera said.

Police also found suspected cocaine and marijuana in Braxton’s pockets.

Braxton, who could not be reached for comment, posted a $6,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled Dec. 15 at the Arapahoe County courthouse.
