Broncos linebacker Al Wilson was at Dove Valley today visiting with coach Mike Shanahan. Remarkably, there is a chance Wilson will practice Wednesday.
Shanahan said the middle linebacker is still experiencing tingling through his shoulders and his triceps areas. If the tingling subsides, Wilson will practice and has a chance to play Sunday at San Diego. Wilson was taken off on a stretcher and taken to Sky Ridge Medical Center, after colliding with teammate Gerard Warren in the fourth quarter. Wilson had a strained beck. He was released from the hospital Sunday night.
Meanwhile, fullback Cecil Sapp was lost for the season with a broken leg suffered on a kick return in the fourth quarter. He’ll be put on the injured reserve.
Kicker Jason Elam, who suffered a hamstring injury just before the half on a fake field goal, has a hamstring injury on his plant leg. Shanahan said he think Elam should be able to play against the Chargers.
