Who: Michael and Kyle Constedt of Superior
Where: Hoolehua Post Office, Molokai
Best meal: Pints of the freshest Tuna Poki you ever had at the neighborhood store for only $5.
Best time to go: Summer, when the crowds are low and the sea is calm.
Best deal: Free coconuts for use as postcards at the local post office – the only post office in the world that will allow you to write on coconuts and send them au naturel through the mail, the world’s coolest post cards.
Best travel tip: Don’t miss “Phallic Rock,” situated at the top of the Pacific’s tallest sea cliffs (more than 3,000 feet) with a spectacular panorama of the island’s former leper colony. It is still a very sacred place for natives (women spend the night there hoping to become pregnant), and the rock itself is surprisingly anatomically correct.
