Captain Gavin Prout, goalkeeper Gee Nash, fan favorite Brian Langtry and former University of Denver players Mike Law and Tom Ethington are among the 23 players on the Colorado Mammoth roster for the 2007 National Lacorsse League season, the club announced Thursday.
The team returns 17 players from last season, when the Mammoth won the NLL championship after a 10-6 regular season. The season opener is Dec. 30 at the Pepsi Center against the Rochester Knighthawks.
Sportswoman of the year nominations due
Today is the last day for fans to visit www.sportswomenofcolorado.org and complete or download a form to nominate their choice for Colorado’s female athlete of the year. Nominations will be reviewed by a media panel, which will choose the honoree, who will receive the award at a banquet in March. Former ThunderRidge and current Duke University standout Abby Waner received the honor this past spring.
