High school sport: Basketball (guard, 2005-06 Class 2A all-state second team) and volleyball (2A all-state honorable mention).

Grade-point average: 4.0.

Class: Senior.

My favorite subject: Mathematics. My favorite is algebra – I like how you can break it down and get a right answer.

My favorite athlete: Ann Strother. I like the way she plays and her technique is really good.

My favorite team: Duke men’s and women’s basketball, both teams consistently good and strong.

What I listen to: Little of everything, mainly hip-hop and country.

The best things on my training table: Salad and macaroni.

Pregame ritual: I do everything the same way the whole (game) day.

Time management tip: Don’t procrastinate and just do everything step by step; prioritize.

Planned career: Medical field – doctor, pediatrician or pharmacist; considering Arizona State, Northern Colorado and Utah State.

My family: Parents Matt and Peni; brothers Matt and Kyle.

What I like most about high school sports: Just the competitiveness of being on the high school team, getting to know other players.

What I like least about high school sports: I like it all.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
