COLORADO SPRINGS – The Bijou Bridge, a gateway to Colorado Springs’ downtown, will close Jan. 2 for construction.
The bridge will be replaced as part of COSMIX – the Colorado Springs Metro Interstate Expansion project. It is scheduled to reopen in October.
Southbound Interstate 25 drivers should exit at Uintah Street, exit 143. Go east to Nevada Avenue and turn south to the downtown area. Northbound I-25 drivers should exit at U.S. 24/Cimarron Street, exit 141.
