Carmelo Anthony’s agent, Calvin Andrews, said today the Nuggets forward doesn’t plan on appealing his recent 15-game suspension.
Anthony was given the suspension for throwing a punch during a brawl late in the Nuggets’ game against the New York Knicks Dec. 16.
“The bottom line as of right now there is no plan in doing an appeal,” Andrews said. “He wants to take this heat. If this is what the commissioner hands out he’s willing to take the responsibility. He did something wrong. We’re not going to justify what he did. He did something wrong. He has 20 days to figure something out, but right now he’s not doing an appeal. He’s going to take the punishment like a man.”
