Getting your player ready...

Height: 5-foot-9.

Age: 18. Born Nov. 5, 1988, in Blackwell, Okla.

High school sport: Wrestling (three-time Colorado Class 2A champion, 126-6 in his career entering the weekend).

Grade-point average: 3.95

Class: Senior.

My favorite subject: Weights, because it most benefits me for wrestling.

My favorite athlete: Rulon Gardner, because he has achieved top honors in wrestling along with facing all kinds of adversity.

My favorite team: Bucknell Bison, because that’s where I’ll be going to wrestle.

What I listen to: A lot of rock, a little country.

The best thing on my training table: AdvoCare products, a series of nutritional supplements.

Prematch ritual: I’ve got a lot of superstitions – I warm up the exact same way and do the exact same routine: I stretch in the same order; I drill with the same teammate; have my Spark energy drink; then I begin pacing anywhere from 15-20 minutes before the match.

Time management tip: I just don’t procrastinate.

Planned career: Undecided, but definitely get into some sort of wrestling coaching.

My family: Parents Dan and Tammy, sister Dani.

What I like most about high school sports: The competition.

What I like least about high school sports: My pet peeve is when athletes don’t take their sport seriously.
