Do you look like “Mary Jane”? Could you, if the prize was two round-trip tickets from Frontier Airlines? That’s at least worth donning a dress for Mary Jane’s birthday party. The ski resort turns 30 this year and celebrates next weekend with a parade, fireworks, music and that infamous Mary Jane look-alike contest.
Events begin Saturday with a pancake breakfast and Snow Sculpture Contest. Then there’s a snowshoe race (visit winter park-info.com to register)and music by Hunker Down Bluegrass.
The look-alike contest is at the Mary Jane base area at 3 p.m.Afterwards, there’s cake at the Club Car until 6 p.m. The events continue with a parade at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 6:30. The Jan. 21 events include wake-up Bloody Marys at the Club Car, free bump tips, snowshoe tours and apres ski at the Club Car.
