ANYONE FOR A SAIL?
Standley Lake Regional Park Boating Permits
Applications due Feb. 5 at Visitors Center, West 100th Avenue and Simms Street, 303-425-1097
Snow’s piled high all around Standley Lake, and the wind is whipping up whitecaps, but, according to the city of Westminster, now’s the time to think about boating. Last year, demand for access was so high people camped out or waited in line for hours for one of 550 power boating permits. This year the city’s conducting a lottery, so pick up an application at the visitor center or Westminster City Hall at 4800 W. 92nd Ave.
