
Doug Lotter is a senior at Overland High School in Aurora. He has a 4.0 grade-point average and is ranked first in his class of 443 students.
Doug has taken Advanced Placement courses, including English literature, U.S. government, physics and calculus. He is an Advanced Placement Scholar and a National Merit Commended Scholar. He also is a member of the National Honor Society.
Doug has been on the tennis team, the lacrosse team and the roller-hockey team at Overland.
In addition to his activities at school, Doug has been active in Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle project, he removed a trail at the Plains Conservation Center and returned it to its natural state. For the past two summers, he has worked as an aquatics instructor at Owasippe Scout camp in Michigan.
Awards that Doug has received include the Prudential Spirit of Service Award and the Colorado School of Mines Medal of Achievement in Math and Science for high school juniors.
