Adams State athletic director and men’s basketball coach Larry Mortensen announced Monday he will step down as coach at the end of the season but will remain as athletic director. Mortensen is in his 11th season as Grizzlies coach. He and school president David Svaldi hope to have a new coach in place by March.
Crush to hold open tryouts Saturday
Aspiring Arena Football League players have a chance to earn a spot on the Colorado Crush’s training-camp roster at an open tryout Saturday, at the South Suburban Family Sports Dome in Englewood.
A registration fee of $75 is required. More details are available on the team’s website.
