FORT COLLINS – A bloodied man standing alongside a major thoroughfare in sub-zero temperatures Monday morning led Fort Collins police to arrest two men suspected of having attacked him, police said.

The man was spotted along the 3000 block of East Mulberry Street about 1 a.m.

The man told police two men had taken him against his will from the west side of town to a business parking lot on the east side of Fort Collins. The two men then put a knife to his throat and assaulted him, police said.

Police found the suspects at a residence on Laporte Avenue where they were questioned and arrested, police said.

Christopher Clutter, 28, and Jeremy Welchman, 26, were taken to the Larimer County Detention Center, police said. Both men were charged with second-degree kidnapping, felony menacing, third-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
