“Rooms,” with photography by Derry Moore, text by Carl Skoggard (Rizzoli International Publications, $55)
“Rooms” is a personal archive spanning 30 years of interior photography by artist Derry Moore. Moore is best-known as a photographer of gardens, houses and people in architectural interiors. His use of natural light is thought to transform an interior into a virtual still life. Here, he teams up with former “Nest” magazine staff writer Carl Skoggard to create this design tour featuring shots taken of two dozen homes between 1975 and 2005. Among them: the stylish work of 20th-century designer Elsie de Wolfe, contemporary design icon Renzo Mongiardino and ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev.
