Colorado’s top ice-fishing regions will be in the spotlight Feb. 10 when tournaments are scheduled in North Park and South Park.

The Delaney Butte Lakes trophy contest will cover all three of these trout-rich lakes in North Park near Walden. Fishing is with artificial flies or lures only and no fish under 16 inches will be measured. First prize in the 6 a.m.-7 p.m. contest is $750, with hourly prizes of $75 for big fish. Entry fee is $30 for adults, $5 for kids at North Park Chamber of Commerce, 400 Main St., Walden 80480, 970-723-4600.

South Park will be highlighted in the inaugural Tarryall Reservoir tournament, which offers prizes for first fish, biggest rainbow, biggest brown and total weight of four fish. Check-in begins at 5 a.m. and fishing starts an hour later.

Entry fee is $20 and proceeds go to the Emily Keys Foundation. Registration is limited to 100 and information may be obtained from Joe Corrigan at 719-836-2644.

Youth trout camp

Colorado Trout Unlimited is accepting applications from students aged 14-18 to participate in its Rivers Conservation and Fly Fishing Youth Camp. Scheduled June 10-16 near Basalt, the session provides instruction on cold-water conservation and fly-fishing. Applications are available online at www.cotrout.org and must be received by March 15.
