Leonardo DiCaprio went on a marathon bender after hearing he had earned another best-actor Oscar nomination for “Blood Diamond.” The Daily Mirror reported DiCaprio began drinking at 10 p.m. Jan. 23 at Japanese restaurant Roka in London. He and his pals proceeded to Boujis, a spot frequented by Princes William and Harry. He was spotted at 3:45 a.m. at The Collection until heading back to his hotel for a nightcap at 6. DiCaprio managed to party until a limo drove him to Luton Airport for his 9 a.m. flight. Just some of the treats Leo indulged in: sushi, $39 Champagne cocktails, $390-a-bottle Grey Goose vodka and $390 magnums of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. The whole tab for the night came to nearly $20,000, the Mirror said.

Off-Broadway acting jobs are not exactly lucrative propositions, actress Blair Brown says. The former “Days and Nights of Molly Dodd” star told broadway.com, “My friends who are not in the theater are shocked when they realize that actors work for less than unemployment at some very well-established off-Broadway theaters. When I directed the play on Theater Row, my actors were making $225 a week. They could have made more working at McDonald’s. And that’s really, really wrong.”

Speaking of burger flippers, the Nationwide Insurance commercial slated for Super Bowl XLI Sunday featuring Kevin Federline is being skewered by the National Restaurant Association. Federline portrays a daydreaming fry cook at a hamburger joint. The restaurant group claims the ad suggests working in a fast-food restaurant is “demeaning and unpleasant.” Nationwide spokesman Eric Hardgrove said, “In this commercial we are using a humorous characterization of Kevin Federline’s life to encourage others to prepare for sudden changes in their lives.”
