Denver – Brock Trotter and Tyler Ruegsegger each scored goals and had two assists each as No. 5 Denver beat Minnesota Duluth 5-2 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action Friday night.

Ryan Dingle, Rhett Rakhshani and Brian Gifford also scored for Denver (20-9-2, 12-7-2 WCHA).

Minnesota Duluth (9-17-3, 5-14-2) scored just one power play goal in seven chances and goalie Alex Stalock had 15 saves in the loss. Andrew Carroll and Josh Meyers scored goals for Minnesota Duluth.

Trotter scored first for Denver at 4:21 of the first period with a rebound of a Chris Butler power play shot. Denver extended its lead to two at 5:15 of the second period on a goal by Dingle.

Denver goalie Peter Mannino had 19 saves.
