Boston Beer Co. leaves no beer leaf unturned. It’s back with Samuel Adams Honey Porter, now acclaimed as beerdrinkers’ favorite and included in the Brewmaster’s 12-pack.
Honey Porter – heavy on the honey sweetness – is the winner of the nationwide Beer Lover’s Choice contest, but it’s been around several years and is a multiple medal winner.
A dark brown with red overtones, its most notable feature is a strong honey aroma and flavor. Those who find porters “too smoky” will find this one pleasantly drinkable, though sweet. It contains 5.25 percent alcohol (by volume).
