The Cutthroat Chapter of Trout Unlimited will add another fly-tying element to the series of seminars being hosted Friday through Sunday at Bass Pro Shops, 7970 E. 49th Ave.
The organization will operate its own fly-tying table with the following schedule: Friday 9 a.m. to noon, Kent Higgins; noon to 3 p.m., Bud McAllister; Saturday 9 a.m. to noon, Brian Kuchynka; noon to 3 p.m., Al Makkai; 3-6 p.m., Bob Churchill; Sunday 10 a.m. to noon, Ross Custer; noon to 6 p.m., Jonathan Keisling.
Elk raffle
The Colorado Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will offer its statewide elk permit as part of a general raffle in conjunction with Gander Mountain Sports. The permit, approved by the Division of Wildlife, is good in any game management unit during a five-month period. This is first prize in a $25 raffle that also offers a Browning rifle and $250 Gander gift certificate. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold, with a limit of 25 per person. Drawing will be June 2.
