An Aurora man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly strangling his pet Boxer dog after it bit him on the hand.
Robert McDuff, 41, told Arapahoe County sheriffs deputies that his 1-year-old Boxer, Dempsey, had bitten him on the right hand. So McDuff strangled the dog with its leash until it died, according to the sheriffs office.
Deputies found the dead dog in a plastic bag in McDuffs garage on the 21200 block of East Lehigh Place.
McDuff was arrested and was being held in jail on a $50,000 bond for investigation of aggravated cruelty to animals, a class VI felony.
