Frederick police have arrested an 18-year-old man for investigation of homicide in the stabbing death of a boy in a home early Saturday morning, authorities say.
Brodie Levi Clayton, 18, of Lochbuie, is considered a suspect in the stabbing at 546 4th Street in Frederick, according a Frederick police news release.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim in the case.
Police were called at about 2:25 a.m. and found the victim with a stab wound to the chest.
Clayton allegedly fled the home immediately after the stabbing, according to police. He was later found in the back yard of the home by police.
The boy was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland where he was pronounced dead at 3:33 a.m.
The Weld County District Attorney’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are assisting in the investigation.
