Boston Lager glass: Boston Beer Co. is out with a new pint glass that it says is scientifically engineered to enhance head retention, flavor, aroma and carbonation. It also reduces heat from the drinker’s hand. Produced by German glassmaker Rastal with the guidance of Boston Beer’s owner/brewmaster Jim Koch, the new Sam Adams hourglass container has an angled neck and lip that keeps the beer’s head intact longer and directs the beer to sensitive points on the palate; reduces heat from a drinker’s hand with a narrower base; “maintains flavor release” with an etched interior and showcases the beer’s color with a rounded body. Me? I’d have mine in a fruit jar and enjoy it.| $30 for a set of four at samueladams.com|Dick Kreck
